OEOD's Commitment

OEOD's commitment is to provide an avenue for students, faculty, staff and those individuals conducting business with the university to voice their concerns regarding matters related to equal opportunity and diversity, and to create an environment free of discrimination, harassment, and sex offenses. The OEOD offers the UCI community a safe and confidential place to discuss issues, concerns, and conflict regarding sexual harassment, sex offenses, or discrimination, including discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition (cancer-related or genetic characteristics), ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or status as a protected veteran.*

* Protected veterans include special disabled veterans, recently separated veterans, Vietnam era veterans, or any other veterans who served on active duty during a war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized.
