Sexual Violence Assistance

Below are a number of local and national resources available should you need immediate assistance related to sexual violence or other sexual misconduct. These resources are available even when the campus is closed or on an administrative holiday. We encourage you to also report incidents through OEOD’s reporting page.

Campus Resources

  • UCI Counseling Center: access 24/7 crisis counseling via phone at (949) 824-6457.
  • UCIPD on campus can take crime reports 24/7 at the non-emergency line: 949-824-5223 or by calling 911. UCIPD can provide supportive assistance such as safety planning, safety escorts, and a victim resource guide, even if a formal criminal report is not made to PD.
  • UCIPD at the medical center can take crime reports 24/7 at the non-emergency line: 714-456-5493 or by calling 911.

Orange County Resources

  • Waymakers 24/7 hotline (949) 831-9110 (South OC) or (714) 957-2737 (North OC) provides support, resources, and referrals for survivors of sexual assault including safety planning and evidentiary exam accompaniment.
  • Human Options (877) 854-3594 provides support for Dating/Domestic Violence in the OC.
  • Laura’s House (949) 498-1511 provides support for Dating/Domestic Violence and Stalking in the OC.

National Resources

  • National Sexual Assault Hotline (operated by RAINN): be connected to a trained staff member 24/7 via phone at (800) 656-4673, chat at hotline.rainn.org, or by downloading the RAINN app on iOS and Android devices. Provides support, resources and referrals for survivors of sexual assault.
  • National Domestic Violence Hotline: be connected to a trained staff member 24/7 via phone at (800) 799-7233 or chat at thehotline.org. Provides support, resources, and referrals for individuals experiencing relationship violence or stalking.
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: be connected to a trained crisis counselor 24/7 via phone at (800) 273-8255 or chat at suicidepreventionlifeline.org/chat. Provide support, resources, and referrals for individuals in distress.
  • Crisis Text Line: be connected to a trained crisis counselor 24/7 by texting “HOME” to 741-741 or using Facebook Messenger.

Additionally, emergency on-campus housing accommodations for students remain available through UCI Housing during the administrative closure.
