• AB1825 Sexual Harassment Prevention Workshop for Supervisors

    OEOD has scheduled an instructor-led training on sexual harassment prevention for supervisors 10AM-12PM Tuesday, Feb. 9, in MSTB, Room 112. AB1825 requires all faculty and staff supervisors have two hours of sexual harassment prevention training every two years. To sign up, visit the UC Learning Center.   • OEOD Presents Diversity in Medicine (DIM): Disparities in Health Care

    The Diversity in Medicine course provides information to assist the UCI community, medical students, and undergraduates interested in healthcare maximize the quality of patient care in a diverse society. Classes are offered this quarter from 5pm - 6:50pm in HG 1800 as a 2 unit P/NP course. If unable to sign up for the class, all are still invited to come and sit in on any lecture.   • Campus Conversations Presents: National Humanities Medalist Vicki L. Ruiz

    This Campus Conversations Series event occurred on Tuesday, October 20 from noon - 1pm at the Dr. White Room in the Cross-Cultural Center. UCI School of Humanities professor and national humanities medalist recipient Vicki L. Ruiz spoke to the community about latino history and why it matters. View the event flyer here.

    Faculty and staff diversity affinity groups foster cross-departmental social interaction, professional networking, cultural competencies, recruiting and mentoring. UC Irvine Advancing Inclusive Excellence
The University of California has continuously stated its commitment to advancing inclusive excellence. A UC Diversity Statement was adopted by the Academic Senate and by the UC Regents.
