* NOTE: Data are shown only for schools and years in which the actual workforce representation of minorities or women on the faculty was less than the estimated availability by at least one person. The estimated availability is calculated from the NSF Survey of Earned Doctorates in the appropriate fields (i.e., those of the extant faculty) and the AAMC Medical Faculty report. The data are based on UCI's faculty workforce as of October 31 of each year. The four minority groups considered are African American/Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic and American Indian/Alaskan Native or the total of these four.
